The chapters will follow the new chaptering so do expect some changes in terms of the chapter numbers (as talked about previously). -Yes we arrived to the storm but YLK was ready for it he still has QS pregnant with his child , she was worry for him (in his point of view) , and she give him (maybe false) warm to his heart ❤ ho was shot in the end
– I didn’t understood why he blocked the visitors maybe keeping QS pregnancy a secret but he cant she will start to show up next month
– QS is the most complex femal lead I have ever met in my life YLK is so much easy to deal with but if she tries to deceive him she will receive retribution
She doesnt like him but grive for him?? she doesnt like him but give him hope ? is she heartless or like he said in the chapter 2.2 she is the one who doesnt where her heart is
– I guess YLK knows her the better because he knew he was in danger and felt if QS was alone or regret something like when she knew he was in danger a part of him with her will take her campany

I just took it at face value: his way of showing his love. She doesn’t seem the type who would enjoy receiving visitors like the officers’ wives. Or maybe he didn’t want her to be irritated by the visits and associate it with her pregnancy.
We don’t know what we want until it’s gone? Maybe that’s her… 😓 My impression of this chapter is that they’re all at a crossroads now, whether they realise it or not.

YLK has got to be the cutest thing eva! I adore this man to pieces after reading the beginning of this chapter and really wanted to see QS reaction in how she would talk to him after he got shot but dang it…the chapter ended. I want so badly to know what happens next…next Wednesday is oh-so-far away…Is it bad to say that I am so thankful that QS is actually being warm towards YLK even if she might not be sincere?! Now that I think about it, he’s like one big baby throwing a tantrum because she doesn’t care about him majority of the time. Aww I love him. Yeah…hehe…

If it’s any consolation, QR, he doesn’t reappear till part 4 of the chapter. Still undergoing his operation, y’know 😉

Glad that YLK enjoyed his moments with her although she was being a sly fox. With her being so wishy washy maybe she don’t hate him as much as she thinks. Either way she has to be pretty good at acting to have YLK tend to her and the servants believing she does “care” for her husband. Something tells me she doesn’t like being pregnant hopefully she doesn’t have a miscarriage on purpose or on accident. QS is so complex because she can’t make up her mind lol. Although YLK is cruel he is more direct with his feelings. I have a feeling YLK will die at the end I just hope he receives love from QS before dying. Sigh….I wonder if she ever thinks about what her worth would be if YLK dies. He is the only one who values her and would make sacrifices for her unlike her dad and her ex. In the end, she should at least be grateful for everything that he did for her even if she doesn’t love him.

Ha! I repeat myself but as Chinese readers observed, her female leads tend to under-appreciate people around them. I was just translating a part which showed how Qin Sang did not really understand nor appreciate what her father did for her. Hopefully she grows a bit more in that regard.
The worst Fei Wo Si Cun couple I read was from one of her contemporary romances. The female lead was ingratitude personified. 😵

Maybe the author made her female characters that way because women are more occupied with their feelings they get lost in it a lot (internally) meanwhile not expressing these feelings externally–poker face female leads that appears strong on the outside but very disturbed in the inside. Which they could end up being portrayed as selfish and unreasonable. I guess I’m fine with QS regretting things later too haha. Can’t know how good something was until you lose it.

QS really got YLK wrapped around her finger. Being happy just because his wife show a little care for him. In another story with another couple, I will be extremely happy if the couple got along very well, but so far with this YLK and QS pair I just can’t help but feeling doubtful. With all his bad sides, YLK practically wears his heart on his sleeve. But QS is another story. Is she really care or just being tactical, I can never say.
Hopefully nothing major happened to the badass YLK.

Hehe, it’s like what some of the other readers here said: you dare not be happy for them too soon because who knows when the author will reverse it…
I wonder if he wants this second child so much because he sees it as a way to rescue the marriage? A bad start and the abortion left him disillusioned but the second baby might be a chance for them to start over…

Exactly, after a few unexpected situation before right after their little sweet time together, I dare not hoping too much. Either that or he just resign to the fact that QS will never love him back. At least with their child, he will have someone who is part of two of them together. Not to blame her, but QS just made me so pessimistic sometimes hahaha.

12, thank you so much for this novel’s translation. Like the other readers, I am also mystified by QS’s wishy washy attitude towards her husband. I still like YLK, appearing badass but really deep in his affection for his wife. I think all his harsh and mean treatment towards her in public was his way of making sure she remains safe in this unsafe time. His enemies will leave her alone if she is not important to him. Do I make sense here ???
