I think that QS and PJC are realistic they know now that their relationship ship doesnt have a future anymore it ended the day he made up his mind and when she got married
I hope that QS can move on akd look at the future because now her life count as three YLK her akd the baby and YLK is the only and her baby left fir her
I loved the moment when the weather was crying for her and the moment when ZM brough her the plum i was curious about the result i am routing for a boy XD like a little YLK with a mother like QS will be lucky

    1. Haha! I vote for dragon phoenix twins, if only they were possible!
Zhu Ma would probably think this weather is bad for Qin Sang’s health LOL She’s unremittingly practical 😂

  3. Nope, QS is too emotionally weak when it comes to PJC she won’t be able to completely get over him just yet. It’s been three years her behavior shows that she is still too soft when it comes to him. He has given his heart to revenge there is no turning back. PJC may care about her but cares more about revenge if she was smart she would’ve given up on him already and not let this drag on. She is sentimental when it comes to him he could use this to his advantage too. I’m starting to not like QS she has the right to not be happy about her forced marriage but she shouldn’t get into her husband’s business too much. She doesn’t really know what other agendas PJC and YLK may have–throwing yourself in a fire not knowing what kind of fire it is way too dangerous!

I found it a bit strange when PJC revealed he wanted to get rid of the warlords it didn’t really faze her that YLK could also be eliminated in the process (now I see why YLK’s brother was so pissed at her in the trailer). But then again she loathes him so much maybe she doesn’t mind him being killed either. Her little discreet acts of manipulating YLK’s affections to protect her ex-lover is risky–it could get all of them killed. QS is a hypocrite too she hates it that YLK is corrupted but protects JPC who is also in the same boat. So frustrating and such a tragedy! On another note I hope she keeps baby #2 or the “twins” be sad if she doesn’t or couldn’t. I have a strong feeling that no matter what happens YLK will ultimately sacrifice himself for her sake. Personally, I don’t think it’s really worth it but he is a crazy guy and so is she.

    1. Those are some really solid points, Under The Moon! Thank you for taking the time to pen your thoughts 🙂

I was just about to agree that Qin Sang doesn’t seem to object to the destruction of the warlords. She definitely thinks they are ruining the country and they need to be removed from power. But I recall now that in Ch. 8.3, she had said to Jianchi that without Murong Chen in the north, the railway would have been seized by the Russians (and she also objected to their plans to assassinate Murong Feng). So I think that after she saw the consequences of helping him (assassination of the Japanese secret emissary), she realised that some very ‘repugnant’ methods are needed to realise all those high-minded ideals and she’s backed away slowly.

Manipulating Liankai’s affections definitely doesn’t look good but I don’t think she’s immune to his charm and the more loving she acts, the harder for her to remain uninvolved. And Master Yi has no objections to that either! 😂

I would argue that compared to the men in the novel, what sets Qin Sang apart is her stronger attachment to people. Liankai is past master at making use of and discarding almost everyone around him; Jianchi is also making use of her to some degree. He was someone she was willing to elope with only a few years ago so not wanting to see him die is quite natural, I think. From her perspective, he really has nothing and no one left — only his life and his cause. It’s one thing to let him go his way but quite another to not care at all if he dies. It would be a bit out of character if she were so callous.
But perhaps the author is being intentionally vague for now to keep open all possibilities and keep us guessing… 😅

The “twins” are definitely my wishful thinking haha!

      1. I could see how QS feels about things but she doesn’t know too much about the men’s world diving in too deep without knowing the real deal is too risky. People know she is precious to YLK so that is dangerous–look how YLK’s brother made use of her hoping to trap YLK in the earlier chapters and how easily PJC could get her to help him–red flags everywhere (now she is pregnant bad timing to get involved further). I wish she was smarter and learned more from what happened last time, she is educated so I expect her to be more critical and analytical. It’s okay if she never loves YLK but using him to help PJC is wrong he is a big potential threat (I really think PJC is a questionable character) she trust him too much like he is some lost puppy and that could backfire in a really gruesome way. These men are way more clever and deceiving than she thinks, she is a chess piece against the Kings of this game it’s not going to end well at this rate. If it were me I would make use of YLK’s affections, work my way to have him trust me, and see what kind of person he really is before disposing of him. You’re stuck with him either way better to make good use of him to see if he is a real bad guy or not before helping your ex cause a revolution/annihilation that may or may not be needed. It would be a twisted plot if she blindly trust PJC but it turns out her husband was the real antihero who she brought to his doom (greek tragedy!). But twins would be good any number of babies would be good by now haha!

        1. I should note yes QS did mention MF & MC who did some good but that could have come off to PJC as “Don’t kill those two but the rest wipe them all, maybe my husband too–which is completely okay” lol. She married him for three years she could have found out 60% of who he is by now if she really wanted to make good use of him. JPC changed for the worst but she tends to just let it go and act like a mom lecturing and protecting him. Could be that she doesn’t care about her life or her child’s life that’s why she continues to stick her head in their affairs but I could be wrong. I think QS needs emergency therapy she isn’t in the right mind to assist anyone since she seem to have depression anyways.

        2. But her attitude was one of resignation and not wanting to have anything to do with Liankai from the beginning. Not a healthy attitude to be sure but that’s the starting point laid down in the story. It’s not till much later that she begins to get to know her husband.

        3. Their whole relationship has been sour from the start it went from rocky to crazy lol. YLK is twisted so I want to know more about him. Hopefully the author explains everything by the end and not keep us wondering in the dark for life haha.

        4. Haha! That’s a very pragmatic approach! 😂 The points raised are good ones though because they get explored in later chapters. Ch. 13 actually marks a shift in gears and the proverbial chickens are coming home to roost, chapter by chapter, so have fun discovering them! 😉
